Event & food marketing: how one fine food deli uses social media to sell-out their wine tasting events ?

Sell-out success for Delilah Fine Foods.

Delilah Fine Foods regularly hosts wine tastings – pairing excellent wines with complementary foods from around the world. The challenge for us was to get new faces in and sell up to capacity – especially for the new Delilah venture in Leicester, where local people weren’t aware the deli hosted this kind of event.

Using Facebook’s comprehensive advertising system, we targeted current fans and defined audiences chosen for their love of fine foods and above average expenditure on quality wine and produce and displayed purpose built advertising to them. To maximise sales, we also marketed calls-to-action within social feeds to people who’d previously visited the ticket purchase page of the shop’s website by using a tracking pixel installed on the Delilah homepage.

As a result of this type of promotion, Delilah’s events have gathered momentum and are consistently selling out, with tickets being booked up more quickly than ever before.
